Another technique inspired by reall DNA genetic mutation is the idea of "crossover". We select two genomes at random, and take the start of the first one and the back end of the other. The crossover point could be anywhere: we could take only the first allele from the father and the last three from the mother. But for this example. the crossover point is right in the middle, and the resultant offspring is created from half of each parent.
